About Dr. Karen Weiss Roer
Dr. Karen Weiss Roer is a graduate of the Psy.D. Program in School-Clinical Psychology at Pace University. Dr. Weiss Roer has postdoctoral training in the treatment of eating disorders and addictions, as well as in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy. Dr. Weiss Roer also has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and in Girls Circle, a manualized, process-oriented group program for adolescent girls.
Dr. Weiss Roer has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, school, and medical settings. She spent several years as the Director of Psychological Assessment at Pace University, where she trained advanced doctoral students in the administration and interpretation of psychological and neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Weiss Roer also served as an adjunct professor at Pace University, where she taught personality assessment to advanced doctoral students.
Currently, Dr. Weiss Roer enjoys having a diverse practice consisting of both psychotherapy and assessment. She supervises early career licensed psychologists in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. She is passionate about helping people identify their strengths, resolve their challenges, and know themselves more fully.
